995bet Fortune Dragon — Ride the Dragon's Blessing to the Jackpot
PG Soft's Fortune Dragon is a high-quality video slot built on a Chinese lucky theme, playable directly at 995bet. From spinning the reels to the bonus features — everything is covered in detail on this page.
Fortune Dragon — Theme and Game Overview
Fortune Dragon is a video slot by PG Soft where golden Chinese New Year colours, red lanterns and fire-breathing dragon symbols are spread across all the reels. The game's visual design is striking, and its sound design keeps the whole experience lively.
It is a 5-reel, 3-row slot with 243 active pay-ways — meaning a win is formed when the same symbol lands on consecutive reels from left to right, without depending on fixed pay-lines. The maximum RTP is 96.74%.
Symbols include gold coins, a dragon head, jade stones, red envelopes and standard card symbols. The premium dragon symbol pays the highest reward, and the Wild symbol can substitute for any other symbol in any position.
How a Spin works
Before starting the game, choose your bet size — there is usually a slider or +/– buttons to set the total wager amount. In Fortune Dragon, bet amounts are arranged in levels from small to large.
Set your bet
Set the wager amount before each spin. All 243 pay-ways are active on every spin, so there is no need to select individual lines.
How wins are formed
A win is formed when three or more of the same symbol land consecutively from the leftmost reel going right. The Wild symbol acts as a substitute for any regular symbol.
Free Spins Bonus
When a set number of Scatter symbols land on the reels, the free spins round is triggered. The bonus round can have active multipliers, offering larger rewards than the base game.
Dragon Transform Feature
On certain spins, the dragon symbol lands on the reels and converts several adjacent positions into Wilds — this is one of the most exciting moments in the game.
Maximum Win
The maximum prize in Fortune Dragon can reach several thousand times the base bet — with multipliers active in the bonus round.
Auto Spin
There is an option to run a set number of spins automatically. To keep your budget in check, it is good practice to set a loss limit when using Auto Spin.
Which type of player is it suited for?
Fortune Dragon is a medium-volatility slot. Volatility refers to how frequently and how large the rewards come. Medium volatility means small to medium wins come fairly regularly, while larger prizes can also appear from time to time.
This game suits players who want to play for a longer stretch without worrying about their balance running out quickly. It can be enjoyed on a small budget too — as the minimum bet level is quite low.
For those who want to place large bets quickly in pursuit of a big jackpot, high-volatility slots are more suitable. You can find a comparative overview of different slot types on the 995bet Slots page.
- Ideal for medium to long sessions — balance does not run out quickly.
- Accessible bet range for both new and experienced players.
- Potential for big wins in the bonus round, so patient players have an advantage.
Practical tips for playing Fortune Dragon
Start with Demo Mode
995bet offers the option to play Fortune Dragon in demo mode — meaning you can try out all the game's features without using real money. If you are new, play a few sessions in demo first before moving to real bets.
Set a session budget
Before each session, set aside a specific amount that you can afford to lose without it affecting your daily life. Once that amount is gone, stop for the day — and start fresh the next day.
Stick to your stop limits
Get into the habit of stopping once you have won a set amount — this is called a "win limit". Also keep a loss limit in mind. Together, these keep every session planned and controlled.
Plan your bet size
Divide your total session budget to last at least 50–100 spins. This improves the chance of hitting a bonus round and makes it easier to handle the natural swings of volatility.
Common myths and the truth
There are many myths about slots that influence players' decisions. The most common misconceptions are addressed below.
"If a slot hasn't paid out for a long time, a big win must be coming"
Every spin on a slot is completely independent and controlled by an RNG (Random Number Generator). The result of a previous spin has no effect whatsoever on the next spin — believing this myth leads to taking unnecessary risks.
"If you lose, increasing your bet will recover the loss"
Increasing your bet to recover losses is called "chasing losses" — it is one of the most dangerous habits. There is no guarantee that the next spin on a slot will win, so stop when you lose.
"Bigger bets make the bonus come more often"
Bonus triggers are entirely random. A larger bet increases the prize amount, but does not change the rate at which the bonus lands. Betting within your means is the sensible approach.
How it differs from other slots on the site
Pay-ways vs Pay-lines
Many slots have 20–50 fixed pay-lines. Fortune Dragon's 243 pay-way system opens up far more paths to a win.
Theme and Style
Where the site has fruit, mythology or western-style slots, Fortune Dragon stands completely apart with its East Asian lucky aesthetic.
Volatility comparison
Compared to high-volatility slots such as Wanted Dead or a Wild or San Quentin xWays, Fortune Dragon offers a smoother session experience.
Dragon Feature
The moment of the large Wild transformation sets this game apart from ordinary slots. You can browse the full Slots category.
